I’ve been a Knitsmith for many years but it’s a thrill to deliver my first work for the Royal Antipodean Order of Knitsmiths!
This is a petit shawl you can knit in one night!
The size illustrated (medium) has only 18 rows, and 108 stitches.
I used a lovely 20 ply 100% merino wool, and 10mm circular needles (80cm cable) – a good length to hold these large stitches.
I incorporated a simple increase/decrease pattern in one row, to produce a lovely fan effect.
I used a faux ostrich plume yarn for the fringe. And topped it off with a gorgeous steampunkesque ornament I found.
Fabulous!
