Before Commencing…
– Finished length (approx.)*
Small 65 cm/26” Med 100cm / 40” Large 133 cm / 53”
* According to our trusty Rabone Chesterman No. 1380 boxwood Rule
– Yarn
Main yarn
Bulky / #6 Super Bulky 200 gr Qty: 1 (1, 2)
We used: Nundle Collection 20 Ply 200gr – Primrose 100% Pure New Wool
– Needles
Size 10mm / US 15 80cm/32” circular needles
We used: Knitpro “Nova Metal” interchangeable needle tips & Knitpro cable
For this type of wool, these needles were great as the wool slid easily, important when you’re working with large stitches

Fringe yarn
DK / #3 Light Worsted 50gr Approx. 10 m / 11 yds
We used: Patons Ostrich 50gr – Gold Colour 736 100% polyester
You could use any fine fancy yarn, depending on the look you want.
Other
Small crochet hook (for the fringe – no crocheting involved!)
Tapestry needle
A steampunkesque brooch / ornament – we used a lovely brass & glass “coach light”, which was from a brass key ring found in a boating store.
Matching buttons (optional – we used no buttons, but some people might prefer a couple of buttons to keep the front together)
– Gauge/Tension
10 stitches and 13 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4” x 4”)
Adjust needle size to obtain correct tension if necessary
