Ta-Dah! Our Day at the Circus!

by Knitsmith Linda on January 15, 2012

How delightful was our outing to see Circus Oz today?

We managed to avoid the rain in Sydney Town and not soak our crinolines, and in the foyer/tent attached to the Big Top, we could help ourselves to a cool glass of the eau, from their rather smart steampowered water dispenser!

It was a grand performance! Circus Oz is very down-to-earth, sexy and funny, and at the same time their skills are outstanding and breath-taking. I love going to the circus to be reminded of how wonderful circus craft is, some disciplines now hundreds of years old, yet still fascinating to the spectator.  Juggling with manipulation, rola-bola, bicycle balancing – all very innovative and enthralling. If you have never seen one of the best circus acts in the Antipodes, it’s about time to do so!

What a pity we missed the performance the night before, which was a special night for all steampowered fans to dress accordingly and let off some steam!
